Victor Osimhen in Talks with Manchester United as Transfer Window Heats Up

Manchester United have initiated discussions with Victor Osimhen’s representatives, signaling their intent to bolster their attacking line this summer. The 26-year-old Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford and has requested a €12 million annual salary, according to transfer insider Santi Aouna. This development comes as United, struggling with just 39 goals in 34 Premier League matches this season, aim to address their goal-scoring woes under manager Ruben Amorim.
Osimhen, who has an impressive record of 31 goals in 36 appearances for Galatasaray, has also been linked with Chelsea and Saudi Pro League clubs. However, United face competition as their primary target remains Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, though a deal for the Swedish forward is proving challenging. Liam Delap and another European striker are also on United’s shortlist, as reported by Foot Mercato. Fans have mixed reactions, with some excited about Osimhen’s potential impact, while others question the club’s strategy given their 15th-place standing in the Premier League. As the transfer window approaches, United’s pursuit of a prolific striker intensifies, with Osimhen emerging as a key contender.
