Manchester United Target Bryan Mbeumo Seeks £250,000 Weekly Wage Amid Transfer Interest

Manchester United Target Bryan Mbeumo Seeks £250,000 Weekly Wage Amid Transfer Interest
According to a recent report by renowned journalist Martin Hardy from The Times, Manchester United target Bryan Mbeumo hopes to increase his weekly wage fivefold to £250,000 if he leaves Brentford this summer.

The forward is keen on a move to Old Trafford, and it is understood that Manchester United is expected to engage with Brentford regarding a transfer. The West London club reportedly wants at least £60 million for the 25-year-old player.

Mbeumo scored 20 goals in the Premier League last season and has attracted interest from several clubs, but he is said to prefer a transfer to Manchester United. Following a disappointing 15th-place finish in the Premier League, United is considering selling two high-earning players—Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho—who earn around £300,000 per week.

This would free up some wage space, but if Mbeumo gets the salary he desires, he would still become one of the club's highest earners.

Mbeumo has been impressive in the Premier League, scoring a total of 29 goals and providing 14 assists over the past two seasons.

It is reported that Manchester United is aware of Mbeumo's desire to move to Old Trafford. Although the two clubs have not yet engaged in discussions, formal negotiations with Brentford are expected to begin soon.

The London club has accepted Mbeumo's conditions for leaving, as he has one year left on his contract with a weekly wage of around £50,000, though the club can opt to extend the contract for another season.

The versatile forward, who can play on the right or in central positions, has also been a target for Newcastle United, but they believe his asking price is too high.
