Dembele's Injury Woes: PSG Face 2-3 Week Absence as Transfer Window Looms

According to Le Parisien correspondent Dominique Sévérac reporting from Germany, Ousmane Dembélé's injury presents a significant setback for Paris Saint-Germain. The winger is expected to miss two to three weeks, with his return date contingent on recovery progress—optimistically late June (20th-30th)—before regaining match fitness.
The French international first experienced muscle discomfort after April 29th’s Champions League semifinal against Arsenal. Though he returned for the Coupe de France and UCL finals (May 24th), contributing to three of PSG’s five goals in the latter, the recurring issue has resurfaced.
With PSG’s Club World Cup roster due by June 10th, sporting advisor Luis Campos faces a tight timeline. The club won’t panic-buy a forward, ruling out short-term reinforcements before their U.S. tour. Dembélé’s absence against Atlético Madrid (June 15th), Botafogo (20th), and possibly Seattle Sounders (23rd) could open doors for Gonçalo Ramos and Kang-in Lee to step up.
Key Points:Recurring Injury: Dembélé’s muscle problems persist since April.Transfer Constraints: PSG’s limited window complicates squad planning.Opportunity Knocks: Ramos and Lee may seize increased playing time.
