June 29 - Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken to Al Nassr's official media after signing a two-year contract extension with the Saudi club.
On his ambitions:
"My goal is to win major trophies with Al Nassr, and I truly believe we can achieve this. That's why I renewed for two more years - I'm convinced we'll win championships here in Saudi Arabia. I received offers to play in the Club World Cup, but chose to focus on proper rest and preparation instead, as we have a long season ahead," the Portuguese star revealed.
On Saudi football's progress:
"We're still developing, but I believe the Saudi Pro League is now among the world's top five competitions. Only those who've never played here and know nothing about football would deny this. The league's intensity is incredible - that's partly why I'm staying two more years."
On his cultural connection:
"It's not just about football - I want to be part of this country's growth in every aspect. My contribution goes beyond sports. The cultural experience here has been amazing, and I hope to remain part of Saudi Arabia's development story."
On future plans:
"Life is full of surprises. Two years ago, I never imagined playing in Saudi Arabia. I live in the present - and right now, everything is positive and bright. I don't make decisions based on distant futures."
On coaching prospects:
"A manager? I can definitively say never - though 'never' is a strong word. It's not in my plans - not in 5, 10, or even 20 years. But as we know... life always brings surprises," Ronaldo concluded with a smile.
