Both from South Korea, Laos Coach: Shin Tae-yong is a Legend!

Laos coach Ha Hyeok-jun gave sky-high praise to the Indonesian National Team tactician Shin Tae-yong . Hyeok-jun even considered STY a legend.
The Laos National Team will challenge the Indonesian National Team at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, Thursday (12/12/2024) evening WIB. This is the second match of Group B of the 2024 AFF Cup .
Ha Hyeok-jun, who is now in charge of Laos, will challenge Shin Tae-yong, who has had a longer career in Southeast Asia as the tactician of the Indonesian National Team. The 54-year-old coach also appreciated his senior's performance.

"The Indonesian national team under Shin Tae-yong played very well and was very strong. We know that the Indonesian national team is a strong team, but we will try our best to fight them," said Ha Hyeok-jun in a press conference, Wednesday (11/12/2024).

In addition, he also mentioned the presence of Park Hang-seo who successfully changed the strength of the Vietnam National Team to develop far. He even called the former coach of The Golden Star a legendary figure.
"As we know, the Vietnam National Team has developed very rapidly under the guidance of Park Hang-seo, the legendary South Korean coach. And now, Kim Sang-sik continues his work," he said.
Not only that, according to Ha Hyeok-jun, Shin Tae-yong also has an extraordinary career. He even admitted that his compatriot is also one of the legendary South Korean coaches.
"In the Indonesian National Team too, I consider Shin Tae-yong as one of the legendary South Korean coaches who carved out success in Southeast Asia," continued the 54-year-old coach.

South Korean Coach Differences
According to the former Suwon Bluewings assistant coach, Southeast Asia is currently filled with coaches from South Korea. Their career began with Park Hang-seo who coached the Vietnam National Team.
Meanwhile, currently, there is still Shin Tae-yong as the tactician of the Indonesian National Team and Kim Sang-sik who handles the Vietnamese National Team. According to him, he does not have much experience because he just arrived last.
"As we know, as a South Korean coach in the Laos National Team, to compare with other South Korean coaches in Southeast Asia, I am the newest," he said.
"However, one thing is certain, of the three coaches from South Korea, we have different playing styles, both in terms of tactics and strategy," added the tactician who was born on January 27, 1970.

Compared to his predecessors, he has not had a long career. Because, since being appointed to coach the Laos National Team in August 2024, Ha Hyeok-jun has only experienced three matches with his team.
However, this will not stop him from giving a challenge. Because, he has prepared the Laos National Team to demonstrate a different style of play under his guidance.
